Jon+ Mackenzie met their freshman year through their mutual friend Meaghan at Virginia Tech. They both lived in Slusher tower, Mackenzie lived on the 10th floor and Jon lived on the 7th floor. After becoming close friends, they realized that they definitely had deeper feelings for each other and began dating May 5, 2018, (yay for margaritas every anniversary lol) before they left to go home for the summer!!

They survived their first summer of long distance and were back in Blacksburg!! Lets go Hokies!!

Junior year was off to a great start, especially with a trip to Howl-o-scream

Jon + Mackenzie during Christmas! Jon always made sure to drive to Williamsburg around Christmas time, since they first began dating! (which is brave considering the 95 traffic)

Spring break 2020 was off to a great start! Little did they know Covid was about to make the end of college life a lot different.

Jon graduated with his Bachelor's degree, despite school being moved to online! After this he moved back to Northern VA to start his job, so back to long distance:')

The following year, Mackenzie graduated with her bachelors degree, and was off to start PT school the next week!

This was taken on a super fun family vacation in Gatlinburg with Mackenzie's family! (In fact, Jon had so much fun, its the only place he suggests for vacation LOL)

Jon officially moved to Williamsburg!

Mackenzie finished her first half marathon and Jon was the best support/ cheerleader!

Jon and Mackenzie got engaged at the Stony Man peak in Shenandoah national park. Mackenzie wasn't expecting a thing (maybe a little) when she asked a couple at the peak to take a photo of them. Luckily they turned out to be great photographers!

Thanksgiving last year, Jon got to partake in the annual 5k tradition with Mackenzie's family! (He beat all of them......)
